My Wedding Gown I received my wedding gown! So thankful， so joyful ^^ 從沒想過，自己會擁有Vera Wang量身訂製的手工婚紗，心情的那股激動真的很難用言語形容！ “精緻優雅,高貴時尚”------ 這應該是VERA WANG婚紗與禮服的代名詞！VERA WANG在23歲時加入Vogue雜誌，成為有史以來最年輕的fashion editor之後又成為Ralph Lauren品牌下Women’s accessories的design director；1990年opened a bridal salon，目前事業遍及Bridal, ready-to-wear, fragrance, beauty, home fashion…..各領域，而且生意版圖也還在擴大之中！ 下面是過程簡短的分享，有興趣的話可以看看喔！ Certificate number l The Certificate of Authenticity number for our Vera Wang wedding dress is C8X0X9. Why Vera Wang? l When we first started to look for wedding gowns, we had heard of Vera Wang’s collection. We had seen on TV why she started her wedding gown collection, which was because when she was getting married, she could not find a wedding dress that suited her taste. l We researched Vera Wang further and was impressed with the success of her bridal collection. She has made wedding gowns for a host of Hollywood stars and music celebrities. The names included Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Thalia, Jessica Simpson, Avril Lavigne, Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Garner, Sharon Stone, Uma Thurman, Holly Hunter, Campbell Brown,[2] Jeri Ryan,[3] and Karenna Gore,[4] among others.l We visited a bridal salon to check out her collection. We loved what we saw. We’ve seen many collections from other designers, but Vera Wang’s collection was our favorite because of the simplicity, elegance, and timelessness of her bridal gown designs. When honey tried on one of her bridal gown designs, the gown combined with a long flowing veil portrayed a classical beauty and elegance that captured our attention. We knew we had found our wedding gown. Why purchase a custom made wedding gown?l For the longest time, I’ve thought about what would be the most meaningful gift I can give honey in addition to a diamond ring. l I’ve heard from honey that when she was growing up, her parents would often bring her to dress makers to have dresses custom made for her. l After hearing this, I knew that a custom wedding dress would be the most meaningful gift I can give her: 1) this dress will allow honey to re-live one of her most memorable childhood experiences 2) I want honey to look her best on wedding day so her parents will be so very proud of her. The gown making processl There was a bridal specialist and a tailor who serviced us from the beginning to the end. They were very patient in making sure that the gown will fit honey perfectly. Just fixing the length of the gown on the frontal area took another few months. l The last step involved choosing the style of veil that we wanted. The veil was made from the same piece of fabric that had gone into the wedding gown. Waiting for the veil took another month. l By the time we had received the final wedding gown and veil, it had taken almost 6 months. l As long as the process had taken, it was well worth it. It was our wedding, once in a lifetime event. .
